Oatmeal Cookies

Oatmeal Cookies

These delicious oatmeal cookies are treat anytime.


  • (Makes about 18 biscuits)
  • 3oz (75g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3oz (75g) light muscovado sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4oz (100g) self raising flour
  • pinch salt – optional
  • 3oz (75g) Prewett’s Medium Oatmeal
  • 3oz (75g) raisins – or dried fruit of choice


Prep; 15 mins Cooking 15 mins Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) Gas Mk4. Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, gradually beat in egg. Sift in flour and fold in with oatmeal and raisins. Drop heaped teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto 3 greased lined baking sheets, allowing for spread during baking. Bake for 10-15 minutes to golden brown. Cool slightly on baking sheets before transferring to cooling rack. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
